Alison is a passionate promoter of Queensland regional produce and regularly conducts tours to encourage this awareness. In conjunction with working with farmers, fishermen and producers, Alison has been a consistent voice on 612 ABC Brisbane talking on seasonal produce for 15 years and writes for Rural Press and Ruth magazine and her food blog, Seasonal Pursuits. She is regularly asked to be a guest speaker at events and conduct cooking workshops. Alison also leads food tours to destinations around Australia.
Alison believes food has to have a quality about it, Flavour, hygiene in production, careful handling, ideal growing conditions and sound cooking methods are just some of the criteria which are essential. She also considers the promotion of food by dedicated professionals is essential.
