    One day a year of Australia Day is never enough – so in 2015 we made things bigger and better. There was three days of great music, entertainment, kids activities, interactive art installations, fireworks and more at South Bank Parklands, Brisbane.

  • Great Australian Bites

    Great Australian Bites was three days of pop up food stalls, music and crowds lazing by the river. Local culinary residents Aquitaine Brasserie, Popolo, The Jetty and Cove Bar and Dining served up amazing food and cool drinks all weekend.

  • Australia Day at Work

    Workplaces right across Queensland got into the spirit of Australia Day on Friday 23 January by getting together with colleagues for mornings teas, BBQs and lunches, while partaking in an Australia Day quiz and some office cricket.

    The annual Flag Raising Ceremony was held this year in Townsville. The Jezzine Barracks came alive with an amazing display from the Australian Defence Force which included a 21 gun salute.

  • Australian of the Year Awards

    The Australian of the Year Awards showcases leading Australians who serve as role models for us all. The Queensland finalists for the 2016 awards will be announced in October 2015.
