Great Australian Bites

Douglas Shire Council, in partnership with the Queensland Government and National Australia Day Council, hosted the Port Douglas Great Australian Bites at Rex Smeal Park on Thursday 26 January 2017 for the second year.

The popular food and music festival showcased delicious treats served up by local chefs from Port Douglas Catering and Events, Private Chefs of Port Douglas, Bistro H by Harrisons, and Harrisons Restaurant.

The day was jam-packed with music performances by Koahlition Reggae Band, The Eddie Skiba Band and Fingerprint Duo, and for people wanting a bit more activity there were tug-of-war championships, children's activities, and thong-throwing and pie eating competitions.
