Great Australian Bites returned to Airlie Beach for a second time on Thursday 26 January 2017 with an afternoon of Australia Day celebrations, tasty food and live performances in Fairy Tree Park.
Patrons relaxed to the sounds of local artists including Meryn Hall, Breeze Duo, Island Rhythm, and The Fox, while local chefs served up culinary delights.
Chefs Rebecca Clark, Bradley Martin, Kevin Collins and Rick Marquand brought their kitchen skills to the outdoors with a series of cooking demonstrations that included crocodile dumplings and a Moroccan tagine.
Local restaurants showcasing tasting plates including Denman Cellars, Treehouse Restaurant, The Mojito Shack, Fussea Buggers, Clipper, Thank You Please Dumplings, Fish D'Vine, D'Vine Catering and Events, Capers, and Mangrove Jacks.
