Australia Day

For the first time, Airlie Beach joined the Great Australian Bites experience, making the most of the summer atmosphere on Sunday 24 January 2016 at the Airlie Beach Foreshore.

Patrons enjoyed Queensland produce cooked by local chefs while listening to the live sounds of Meryn Hall, Patch, Fiona & The Sweepers and Cactus.

Patrons were also treated to delicious tasting plates served up by local restaurants Fish D’Vine, The Clipper Restaurant, Laughing Mao Dumplings, Fussea Buggers, Denman Cellars Beer Café, Whitsunday Organic, Cactus Jack's and Capers on the Esplanade.

Great Australian Bites in Airlie Beach was presented by Whitsunday Regional Council in partnership with the Queensland Government and National Australia Day Council.
