Australia Day was celebrated in Bargara at Neilson Park as the region hosted its second Great Australian Bites event.
Locals gathered on 26 January to enjoy an exciting line-up of entertainment and live music, featuring home-grown artists Hats On Duo, Spargo Brothers and Unity Drummers Bundaberg.
Pop-up food stalls served up delectable tasting plates and patrons brought along their togs and towels to swim at the beach, some participated in the sand sculpture competition and others brought along their picnic rug for a traditional railway picnic.
Local produce shone at the demonstrations by Artisan BBQ with attendees celebrating and tasting the best of the region. The afternoon concluded with a “Thank You” feast for Rural Fire Service personnel.
Great Australian Bites in Bundaberg was presented by the Queensland Government in partnership with Bundaberg Regional Council and the National Australia Day Council and proudly supported by Triple M.
