Lockhart River hosted its first Great Australian Bites event this Australia Day.
Locals gathered on 26 January to enjoy an exciting line up of entertainment and live music, featuring home-grown artists Local Band and Black Image band.
Pop-up food stalls served up delectable tasting plates, with damper and billy tea along with a traditional Kup Murri feast enjoyed by the community.
The afternoon was filled with activities for all to participate in along with cultural dance performances.
Great Australian Bites in Lockhart River was presented by the Queensland Government in partnership with Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council and the National Australia Day Council.
