Great Australian Bites - Winton

Winton joined in the Australia Day fun, hosting its first Great Australian Bites event on 26 January at Winton Shire Hall.

Locals gathered to enjoy a morning of food, music and entertainment after the official proceedings of the Australia Day awards.

The morning was jam-packed with the “Have a Go Show” which featured local community talent and pop-up food stalls served delectable tasting plates representing traditional Aussie foods.

The morning was enjoyed by the Winton community, participating in the lamington and biscuit bites competition concluding the afternoon with a round of Aussie trivia.

Great Australian Bites in Winton was presented by the Queensland Government in partnership with Winton Shire Council and the National Australia Day Council.
